On the 1 December 2021 our application for the quashing of Sally’s original inquest and the ordering of a fresh inquest into the circumstances leading to her death was heard in the High Court.
Our application: Andrew and Angela Mays v HM Senior Coroner for Kingston Upon Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire was heard before Lady Justice Simler, Mrs Justice May and His Honour Judge Thomas Teague QC, the Chief Coroner of England and Wales. We were represented by Ms Bridget Dolan QC, and the Defendent by Miss Janine Wolstenholme.
The court’s decision was to quash the original inquest which concluded on 23 October 2015 and order a fresh inquest.
