Following the High Court Hearing ruling on Wednesday to quash Sally’s original inquest and order a new one there have been a number of articles in the media, two or which are attached.
The first one was written by Emily Campbell, a pupil barrister with Serjeants’ Inn Chambers, who attended the hearing. The thrust of this article is that it is both a personal and professional obligation to tell the truth at inquest. It is not enough to rely on advice from your organisation or colleagues on whether or not to disclose information. If you have any doubt whatsoever about what is or is not relevant, then you need to ask the coroner.
