The Fitness to Practice hearing for mental health nurse McKee was parked, part-heard, following 8 days of evidence at the end of October 2021. The resumed hearing for a further 4 days will commence on Tuesday 4 January 2022. It is now 7.5 yrs since Sally’s death. McKee and his colleague from the Crisis Service of Humber NHS Foundation Trust were reported to the NMC immediately following the close of Sally’s original inquest in October 2015. Whilst acknowledging that the NMC’s investigation was suspended for 2.5 years pending the findings of a police investigation, nevertheless, by the conclusion of this hearing it will be 75 months from initial referral to final outcome.
