Following on from the Calendar YTV item last week, the Hull Daily Mail have produced this article highlighting the similarities between the failings by HumberNHSFT Crisis Service, Miranda House, in the avoidable deaths of Sally and PC Sharon Houfe.
Sharon, died shortly after asking for help and being turned away by the Crisis Service only six months after Sally’s inquest. At her inquest HumberNHSFT assured us, Sally’s family and the Coroner, that lessons had been learnt and and an action plan put in place by the Trust to ensure there would be no similar deaths in future. How hollow these words sound and how devastating to learn that in reality nothing has changed.
